Anice Granville-Lynton is a partner in the Barbados office in the Commercial Litigation, Restructuring and Insolvency practice group. After obtaining her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Guyana in 1996, she attended the Hugh Wooding Law School and was admitted to practice law in Guyana in October 1998 and in Barbados in March 1999. Since then, Anice has enjoyed an illustrious career during which she has accumulated a wide range of experience in both litigious and non-contentious transactions. In particular, she has over eleven years experience in her primary areas of focus, namely corporate/commercial law involving general corporate advice and administration, mergers and acquisitions, insolvency and restructuring as well as local corporate and offshore financing and security.
Not only has Anice led and closed numerous mergers and acquisitions, restructuring and financing deals involving both public and private companies in Barbados, but she has also cultivated an in-depth working knowledge of the Barbados Companies Act and the accompanying Takeover Code, the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and Securities Act. She has advised an incalculable number of local and overseas secured lenders, receivers and managers on the enforcement and realization of security in Barbados. Anice also regularly serves as local legal support to large multinational entities seeking to acquire local assets or to liquidate operations in Barbados.

In addition to her professional pursuits, Anice spends a considerable amount of time mentoring, teaching and contributing to the development of technical skills of many associates and support staff in the firm.
