Dana R. Clarke, a Senior Associate in the Barbados office, was awarded a Bachelor of Laws with Honours from the University of the West Indies Cave Hill Campus in 2005. While pursuing this degree, she was afforded the opportunity to spend an enriching semester at the University of Toronto Law School. In 2007, she obtained her Legal Education Certificate from the Hugh Wooding Law School in Trinidad and, while there, she represented the School at the American Caribbean Law Initiative Conference in Tampa, Florida.
Dana was called to the Bar in Barbados in October 2007 and is a member of the Barbados Bar Association. She joined Lex Caribbean in 2010 and has since developed her practice in the area of Corporate and Commercial law with a strong focus on corporate finance. As part of her portfolio at Lex Caribbean, Dana acts on behalf of major international financial institutions and frequently manages cross-border financings and advisory matters involving both international commercial financiers and multilateral financial institutions. In 2013, Dana’s practice at Lex expanded as, in addition to being part of the Corporate, Commercial and Finance Department, she also became a part of the International Business Department where she provides general legal support to a clientele of international business companies and multinational groups.
Dana is meticulous with a keen eye for detail which she channels into not only her work but her involvement in other associations. She is a member of the Combermere School Old Scholars Association and also an active member of the Barbados International Business Association (“BIBA”). Through her involvement in BIBA, Dana has sat on several committees involved with the planning of International Business Week and has successfully chaired one of those committee for multiple years. A perfectionist who loves to travel and experience new places, cultures and cuisines, Dana is invested in the success of her clients.
