Amanda Perry is an Associate in the Corporate and Commercial Department at the Barbados office of Lex Caribbean.

Amanda completed her Bachelor of Laws with First Class Honours at the University of the West Indies Cave Hill Campus, Barbados in 2021. She subsequently obtained her Legal Education Certificate at the Hugh Wooding Law School in 2023, graduating on the Principal’s Roll of Honour.

Amanda joined the firm as an in-service trainee in 2022, and thereafter transitioned to an associate in 2023 upon successfully achieving her LEC. She was admitted to practise law in Barbados in 2023 and will shortly be admitted to the Bar in Trinidad and Tobago. Her practice areas include general corporate governance and maintenance, mergers and acquisitions, trademark law, employment law and finance law.

During her legal training, Amanda served as a student leader on many committees, including the Cave Hill Campus Law Society, the Guild of Students Election’s Committee and the Disciplinary Committee of the Medical Students Association. She co-authored a publication on the Intellectual Property Regime in Barbados for the Promotion of Trade and Investment in the Barbados Medicinal Cannabis Industry. She was awarded the Ralph Boyce Scholarship in 2018 for academic excellence.

Amanda is currently reading for her Master of Laws in Corporate and Commercial Law at the University of the West Indies. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time at the beach, watching sunsets, music and the arts.
