Ashley Singh is a legal professional with a passion for justice, corporate law, and public service. As a 2015 Trinidad and Tobago scholarship recipient, Ashley embarked on a journey that would lead her to become a seasoned attorney.

Ashley began her legal studies at the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus, earning an LLB degree with honors in 2018. She furthered her legal education at the Hugh Wooding Law School, graduating in 2020 and subsequently being called to the bar in Trinidad and Tobago the same year.

Ashley dedicated three years of her career to immersing herself in policy development and legislation, focusing particularly on criminal law. This intensive period has equipped her with a profound understanding of the intricate nuances within legal frameworks and their real-world applications. Notably, Ashley is well versed in parliamentary research, she played a pivotal role in shaping legislative and policy advancements, specifically in areas such as Anti-gang measures, Sexual Offences, and Trial by Judge Alone. Her active involvement in projects addressing online child sexual exploitation with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) ignited a keen interest in emerging challenges at the intersection of law, technology, and crime.

In line with her passion for navigating these complex issues, Ashley is currently pursuing her LLM degree at Anglia Ruskin University in International Commercial and Business Law, specializing in Digital Law and Cybersecurity. Recently welcomed into the distinguished Governance, Procurement, and Financial Crime Department at Lex Caribbean, Ashley continues to contribute her expertise to these critical legal domains.

Outside the courtroom, Ashley finds joy in spending time with friends and family, enjoys CrossFit, and she actively contributes to the welfare of homeless dogs.
