Desiree Valentine is an Associate in both the Corporate, Commercial & Finance and Conveyancing & Property departments of the firm’s Trinidad Office.
She was admitted to practice in November 2018 and later joined the firm as an associate in December 2018. Prior to joining the firm, she obtained a Bachelor of Laws with Honours from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus (2016) and a Certificate of Legal Education from the Hugh Wooding Law School (2018). During her tenure at both institutions, she developed a passion for both written and oral advocacy, participating successfully in both the Inter-American Human Rights Moot Court Competition (2016), Washington, D.C and the Hamel-Smith Appellate Moot Court Competition (2017).
Desiree works closely with the Senior Partner and Notary Public in the Corporate, Commercial & Finance department, Mr. Bernard Shepherd, providing regulatory and general advice in relation to securities, company, real property and banking and finance law. Her practice areas also include the preparation of releases and bills of sales.
In her spare time, she volunteers with the Volunteer Centre of Trinidad and Tobago and the Down Syndrome Family Network.
She is a member of the Law Association of Trinidad and Tobago.
