Let's TalkKashka Mottley is an associate in the Barbados based corporate/commercial practice group.
Kashka obtained his Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus in 2015 and his Legal Education Certificate from the Norman Manley Law School in 2017.
Prior to joining the firm in 2022, Kashka regularly appeared before the Barbados Supreme Court, Barbados Court of Appeal and the Caribbean Court of Justice in respect to commercial and civil litigation. Throughout his time in litigation, Kashka has formulated several successful submissions at every level due to his passion for research and analysis.
Since joining the firm, his practice areas include securities, insurance regulation, banking and finance law, economic substance, data protection and financial services with a focus on fintech, corporate governance and ethical use of AI.
Kashka sits on the board of directors of various private companies. He is also a member of the Corporate Governance Institute.
Kashka is involved in the creative industry, from music to event production. As of 2023, he serves on the Barbados Film and Video Association as Vice President II and sits on the Advocacy Committee, where he focuses primarily on developing and advocating for the development of both the local and international film and television industry in Barbados.
