Leslie C. Roberts

Senior Associate

Leslie C. Roberts is a Senior Associate in the Conveyancing and Property Development Department of Lex Caribbean’s Barbados Office.

Leslie attended the University of West Indies, Cave Hill Campus from the 2005 to 2008, where he obtained his Bachelor of Laws with Honours. While on campus, he also sat on the university’s recognized student government body The Guild of Students, was an executive member of the student-alumni organization UWI STAT (Students Today, Alumni Tomorrow) and was also awarded a Co-curricular Bursary for excellence in both academic and co-curricular activities.

Leslie subsequently enrolled at the Hugh Wooding Law School (“HWLS”) in 2008 and obtained his Legal Education Certificate from the school in 2010. He sat as Mooting Chairperson in his first year of enrolment, while in his second year he was a member of the victorious four-person HWLS’ mooting team sent to contest the Inter-regional Margaret Forte Mooting Competition. He was awarded the Principal’s Award for Advocacy for his efforts in mooting and advocacy upon graduation.

Leslie was called to the Bar in Barbados in October 2010 and to the Bar in St. Kitts & Nevis later that same year. He began his practice in private chambers under the tutelage of leading   Queens Counsel in Barbados where he was exposed to a wide variety of legal matters, inclusive of Civil Litigation, Insurance Law, Commercial Law, Employment Law, Administration of Estates and Conveyancing.

Leslie joined Lex Caribbean in November 2017, where he presently advises clients on all matters related to the purchase, sale, lease and management of and real estate generally. He also advises on matters related to mortgages and real estate financing, restoration of title, administration of estates and property-related commercial acquisitions.

Outside of work, Leslie enjoys playing football, playing the piano, range shooting (as a member of the Barbados Rifle & Pistol Federation) and participating in forums on economic and political issues affecting the country.
