Lex Caribbean Welcomes New Partner: Tammi C. Pilgrim

Lex Caribbean, a leading Caribbean law firm, announces the addition of new partner, Tammi C. Pilgrim, effective 2nd January, 2018. This addition strengthens one of the firm’s core practice areas: commercial dispute resolution, and adds further depth to the firm’s offering.
Tammi is a commercial dispute resolution specialist, focused on commercial arbitration and litigation. Her arbitration experience includes proceedings under the Arbitration Rules of ICSID, the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) and London Maritime Arbitration Association (LMAA). She has also appeared in complex litigation matters before the Barbados High Court, the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court and the Caribbean Court of Justice in insolvency litigation, commercial and banking disputes and cross-border relief/assistance.
Complementing her dispute resolution practice is Tammi’s significant experience in advising on the panoply of laws and regulations that apply to domestic and cross-border commercial activity. These include contract law, investment treaty law, conflicts of law, corporate finance, debt workouts and changes in company structure. She received an LL.M in International Legal Studies (with Distinction; specialty: International Arbitration and Dispute Resolution) from Georgetown University Law Center (Washington, D.C.) and an LL.B (Upper Second Class Honours) from the University of the West Indies (Cave Hill). From 2010 to 2015, Tammi was a valuable Associate and Senior Associate with the firm. In her new role, she will seek to strengthen and expand the firm’s regional footprint, primarily in commercial litigation and arbitration.
